Choose good mentors, make the most of every opportunity to learn, and don’t compare your journey with others. Progress may feel slow, but consistency compounds.
I wish I’d known earlier that this programme is not just about mastering a vast amount of knowledge—it’s about learning to think, interpret, and apply concepts clinically. The journey becomes much more rewarding when you focus on understanding rather than simply preparing for exams.
I chose Biochemistry because it sits at the intersection of basic science and clinical medicine. I was fascinated by how molecular and biochemical changes translate into disease, diagnosis, and patient care. It also gives me the opportunity to combine clinical understanding, teaching, laboratory medicine, and research.
